My mother tongue is Swedish, I have a high level of English both written and spoken. My French is good spoken but at a moderate level when writing.

Education

Up to the of age16 I attended Grammar school in Sweden.

1991-08-01 to 1994-06-01 Attended the Aviation college of Southern Sweden where I attained a    diploma in engineering.

1994-08-01 to 1995-06-01 In Årjäng I completed the 4 year course in component electronics which included computer programming courses, learning about logic circuits and computer programming in Pascal and C++.

1995-08-01 to 1996-08-01 Military service at Luleå, where I continued flight mechanic studies.

1996-08-15 to 1997-05-01 Post military work teaching unemployed persons technical computing skills.

Business related experience

1997-1999 Working for WM-Data Infrastructure in Sweden (Skellefteå). Did computer hardware and software. Started with basic Red Hat Linux

2000-2004 Working for WM-Data/DCS consortium at CERN.

The work  mostly involved Linux workstations and Linux server systems administration. I was responsible for the maintenance of around 350 machines both workstations and servers .

2004-2005 Seconded back to Sweden by WM-Data Infrastructure in Sweden (Skellefteå). 

2005 To date Working for DCS at ESO. First as Archive Operator and Unix scripts specialist then as Systems Administrator.

Coupled with the above skills I am experienced in:

  • Setting up a Samba network
  • Data sharing with Linux and Windows
  • Installation of mail servers ( like Qmail )
  • Some experience with MySql
  • And have skills with other important Linux utilities.
