Data Conversion Service SA, referred to henceforth as “DCS” is a service company based in Geneva, Switzerland, since 1973.

It has a workforce of more than 150 in Switzerland, Germany and South America.  DCS provides services including outsourcing, digitisation, and data entry, as well a permanent and temporary recruitment. 

DCS has a highly diverse client base: international organisations, multinationals, chemical industries, teaching hospitals, small/medium companies, etc…

Key dates in the history of Data Conversion Service SA

  • 1973 - foundation of DCS. Its core activity is data entry for accounting purposes. Its business develops with great rapidity and within the space of three years there are 30 data entry operators.
  • 1974 - A training school for data entry operators is set up to meet the strong demand for qualified personnel.
  • 1975 - DCS obtains its first contract to provide services to CERN (European Centre for Nuclear Research), concerning the 24-hour running of the whole data processing centre. These were the beginnings of facilities management and sub-contracting in the field of IT.
  • 1976 - Setting up of department for temporary recruitment in the IT and administrative sectors.
  • Between 1978 and 1999 - DCS develops in particular its outsourcing “administrative services” and facilities management “IT services".
  • 2000 - DCS sets up a digitisation department. Data entry continues. The complementary nature of these two activities becomes the principal tool for the digital processing of paper documents.
  • 2004 - DCS obtains its first contract with ESO in Germany.
  • 2006 - DCS also sets up in Chile. Providing IT support and infrastructure services as well as scanning projects.
